Montana

“On the Big Blackfoot River above the mouth of Belmont Creek the banks are fringed by large Ponderosa pines. In the slanting sun of late afternoon the shadows of great branches reached from across the river, and the trees took the river in their arms.”
― Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It

The Big Sky Country of Montana has always been a wealth of inspiration to me. Living here for the past 45-some years of my life has provided me with a constant source of awe-inspired appreciation for this very special place. The sky here is high, wide, wild, and blue. The vast expanses of prairie grasses dance in unison to an unseen breath of a summer breeze. The blaze of colors that autumn's entrance brings, along with the grey icy veils of winter, all hold unparalleled inspiration for my paintings. Everywhere that I find myself in Montana, my eyes and my heart are captured.
