I have lived in Montana since moving here with my family when I was six years old. My uncle once taught on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, in Browning, Montana. That was my first introduction, at that very young age, to the beauty, heritage, and culture of the Native American tribes in Montana. I was fascinated throughout my childhood by their beliefs, stories, wisdom, artwork...their connection with, and responsibility to, this Earth....and still am to this day. I love painting the tipis and war ponies from these tribes and their stories. They are honorable and beautiful people.
